Following the recent inspections of Doha Academy schools located in Al Waab and Salwa, the accreditation team at the Ministry of Education and Higher Education evaluated and measured the schools’ based on several criteria that include all aspects of the schools’ operational and strategic functioning. Both schools were awarded 3-years’ accreditation for their “commitment to the vision of achieving the principles of the educational system in Qatar, and the management’s continuous improvement of schools, and quality assurance”. Both schools were deemed by the QNSA inspectors “able to achieve the required quality standards in school performance”. Both Schools encompass the vision, mission, and objectives in addition to the desired expectations of students within the curriculum. The schools offer a variety of programs and activities that support the Qatari identity and Islamic culture while focusing on the role of the Parents’ Council in school life. The schools have solid relationships with the teachers and students as well as strong communication and effective partnerships with the various community institutions. Doha Academy schools work and follow on the progression and development of Students’ performance while celebrating the various achievements of students (academic and non-academic) to encourage a sense of pride in the school. In addition, an effective academic guidance program is implemented to raise students’ awareness of their career paths and seek admission to various universities. Additionally, the Student Council also plays an important and effective role in communicating the students’ voices and participating in decision-making.
